Achievement-1: My Introduction To Steemit(17-08-2025)
Hello Everyone, I'm Emmanuel Marvellous by name but preferably called Mavins. I hope y'all are doing great today? I know you might be wondering why I chose the name @mercigold here on Steemit. Well, I got that name from one of the story books I read when I was a child. Trust me it remains my favorite story even up till date and a personal trade mark. I'll brief y'all more details about the book someday but for now let's get to know more about Me.
INTRODUCING MYSELF
Everyone have their opinion about who I am depending on the part of me they know better. Well for me, I'm an Entrepreneur, I joggle basically all kinds of jobs like Event management, Gift curating, Fashion accessories sales, Interior Designing. The Little techy part me is being a forex trader, an affiliate marketer and now a micro blogger.My hobbies are traveling and tour.I possess listening and communication skills. I also enjoy profiling solution to pending problems or challenges people encounter in my capacity, Would you call that being a philanthropist? Maybe Yes, Maybe Not.
ABOUT MY FAMILY
I'm from a family of eight and the third position in the Emmanuel's Family. I have two elder brothers,two younger brothers,two younger sisters, Dad and Mom. My siblings and I were all born in Lagos Nigeria except my eldest brother who was Born in Abuja and still base there till date. This was because Dad was initially based in Abuja before he relocated to Lagos. If you ask me, it's indeed a great experience getting to have people who are older than you by birth and people you are as well older than by birth. Can you relate?
The interesting part of growing up in the city of Lagos is being able to withstand the fate of language barrier. Everyone at home can virtually speak at least 5 languages except Me, I speak minimum 6. I can proudly say this is courtesy My Dad. Dad always advise we learn and understand the language of people around us for better communication and easy transaction. Sometimes I wonder why people tend to have one last child at old age. I call that "Stay at home Kid" in my own word because why in goodness sake!! Did Dad and Mom decide to make us eight in number last year while i was enjoying seven of us already. Anyways my little kid bro became my sweetest sibling eventually.
ACADEMIC LIFE
My first alma mater was Format Foundation, Lagos Nigeria. Here I schooled through Creche, Kindergarten class, Nursery and Basic. That's what this stages were being called back then. I moved on to my secondary level and here I attended Great Everlee College, this stage of my academic life came with more hostile experience than it's hospitable ones. I tagged it "The tunnel of Bully". Trust me if you don't have a Prefect position in school or you're not a student in Higher secondary class then you're automatically a prey to be bullied on by senior colleagues who are either Prefects or just Senior.
Fast forwarded to five years ago, I registered into the Joint Admission Matriculation Board, popularly known as JAMB, then I wrote their yearly entrance exam to the University. God so kind with hard work and consistency, I had a good cut off point and got admitted into the University of Uyo, Uyo here in Nigeria. I applied to study History and International Studies. Believe me you, the four wall of education and academic experience is one of a kind. Yes it's true Life has it personal lessons and how these lessons shapes Us but holla, there's more to it schooling in the University. The good news here is, right now your girl became a freshly baked Graduate last month. I bagged a Bsc in History and International Studies. The most beautiful part of these experiences so far was the day I signed out from school, right by side beholding the smiles of my brave best friends who sailed these journey to the end with me.
HOW DID I KNOW ABOUT STEEMIT?
Yesterday I visited my aunty's mini store,where she sells hairs, clothes and make-up accessories, while sorting out the makeup kits she would be using on her face for Sunday stunning look to church, She spoke about @purpleidy23 who came the previous day for a little wardrobe restock. I immediately texted @purpleidy23 to also know how she's doing and what's going on at her end. She gave me a little breakdown on how she's being and what she's being up to so far. In our conversation came about STEEMIT.
WHAT STEEMIT SHOULD EXPECT FROM ME
I suddenly developed so much interest in this platform because how better way do I express my daily activities and traveling hobbies except through writing and having wonderful readers and listeners like you to spend great time with. On this Note, I booked a date today with @purpleidy23 who I've chosen to be my mentor while blogging the beautiful, ugly, happy,sad and memorable pages of my life.
