WHAT IS PLAGIARISM
Definition :
Plagiarism is the act of using someone else's words ideas or work without giving proper credit and presenting it as your own original work.
EXPLANATION
Plagiarism means using someone else’s words, ideas, or work without giving them proper credit and pRetending it is your own. It Includes cOpying from websites, books, articles, or other people's posts and presenting it as your original cOntent this act is considered disHonesty and is strictly prohibited on platforms like sTeemit. If someone is caught plagiarizing, their post can be removed, rWards taken away, or even their account may be banned. To avoid plagiarism, we should always give credit to the original source, use quotation marks when copying exAct words, and mention the name or link of the source if we paraphrase usIng plagiarism checker tools is also a good habit to make sure our content is original.
EXAMPLES OF PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism can happen in many ways. For example, if someone copies a paragraph from a website like Wikipedia or a blog and pastes it into their post without giving credit, that is plagiarism Another example is when a person reads an article or blog and rewrites it in their own words but fails to mention the original source This is also considered plagiaRism Even using an image, chart, or graphic from Google without permission or source credit is a form of plagiarism AdditIonally if someone submits a post or assignment written by a friend or AI tool and claims it as their own original work, that is plagiaRism too These actions are dishonest and strictly prohibited on platforms like Steemit.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

MY OWN SUGGESTION FOR AVOIDING PLAGIARISM :
- Understand the Topic Clearly
Before writing anything, I try to fully understand the topic a clear understanding hElps me express ideas in my own words without coPying from othErs.
- Take notes with Source References
When I read information from websites or books, I write short notes and mEntion where each idea comes from This helps me later to give proper credit to the sources.
- Write in My Own Words
I always try to rewrite the information in my own style. I do not just change a few words but completely paraphrase the idea in my own sentEnce structure.
- Use quotation marks for Direct Words
If I use the exact words of any writer, I put Them in quotation marks and clearly mention the source thIs shows respect and honEsty in writing.
- Give Proper Credit to the Source
Whether I copy, parapHrase, or use an image/chArt, I always give credit to the original author or website. Mentioning the source is neceSsary to avOid plagiarism.
- Check My Work Using Plagiarism Tools
Before posting anything, I check my content using online tools like Grammarly, Quetext, or SmallSEOTools. These tools help me find any copIed parts and correct tHem.
- Avoid ReLying Completely on AI or Others
I do not submit anything written by othErs or by AI without editing and adding my oWn thoughts. If I take help, I try to rewrite in my own words and give credit if needed.
- Keep My Writing Honest and Original
I always aim to keep my writing honest and original, even if it is short. I believe that original content builds trust and respect on platforms like Steemit.
WHAT IS CITATIONS ?
Citation are basically the reference from where you get the content it is also called the reference of source.
EXAMPLES OF CITATIONS :

It has connected people across the globe and made information more accessible than ever According to a report by the World Economic Forum, “technology is not just changing jobs, it is transforming entire industries” (World Economic Forum, 2022) This citation shows the source of the information and helps avoid plagiarism.
