Ranganchapa

Bengali name: Rangan, Ranganchapa, Junglee Jawa. English name: Jungle Geranium, Flame of the Woods. Scientific name: Ixora coccinea. It is an evergreen shrub that remains green almost all year round. The plant usually grows to a height of 2-6 feet, and its flowers bloom in clusters in round clusters. Rangan flower is more commonly seen in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asian countries. Now it is planted as an ornamental plant in many countries of the world.

This plant is like a colorful artist of nature. The small leaves are covered with a sheet of green, and its chest is filled with hundreds of small pink-red pieces of fire-like flowers. Each flower looks small, but when they bloom together in a group, it seems as if someone has placed a pink crown on the tree's head. This tree is most beautiful in spring and rainy days. Butterflies and bees come and hover around it, as if they want to steal its beauty. The tree is very common in people's homes, gardens or on the roadside, but its appearance is absolutely extraordinary. It is as if nature is saying that even though I am small, together we create great beauty.

The Rangan flower is not only beautiful, but also full of Ayurvedic and herbal properties. Its leaves and flowers are used to heal wounds, reduce fever, and the flowers and roots are used in Ayurvedic medicines and are used for various skin diseases. In some rural areas, Rangan leaves are used as a poultice for skin diseases. Many people plant it in their courtyards as an ornamental plant. It is one of the most popular flowers for decorating houses, balconies, and gardens. The flowers last for a long time, so many people arrange them in pots.

Prefers hot and humid climates. Loamy loam soil is best. Grows well in sun, but can also survive in light shade. Requires regular irrigation, but waterlogging can damage the plant. Propagation is usually done through cuttings and seedlings.
