RE: Defending the Republic, my Philippines, you are worth fighting for!

in #news8 years ago

This is a sad situation. I don't know much details other than what we hear on the news here in the Netherlands, but no country or person should have to suffer like this. Hope things will get better soon..
Will follow you for more interesting posts.

Thank you. The journalists in the Philippines are not telling the world the true story as their publications or owners are the present opposition. For us Filipinos, locally and abroad, we now rely in the social media to see what is really happening. I guess our eyes can now blatantly see through all the manipulations that the previous regimes (Liberal Party) have done to the country and the ordinary Filipinos.
Thank you for the support.

Yes, that is the big advantage from social media nowadays. Unless you are in a country that shuts social media down during a negative streem towards the government. They don't do that in the philipines or do they?

Well i will answer with the words of President Duterte, he said " I might not agree with what you're saying, but I will give you the freedom to say it."

That is how it should be everywhere. Freedom of speech is great good.

It is..that's why the opposition is lambasting him left and right, locally and internationally. If it's the truth, no problem. But manipulated "truths" is believed by everyone.
His supporters aren't happy :(

Especially when the manipulated thruths make it to the international newsstations it is believed by everyone. Keep doing what you're doing and keep bringing the real truth. People should know about it.

We will be visiting the philipines in a couple of months. Probably Palawan, el nido and some more. Looking forward to seeing all the beauty over there :)

Am jealous already! I haven't been to any of those darn.
They said that President Duterte won because of the social media..21M votes! We only need a million in them here..although am trying to reach out to them as some socmed accounts are being mass reported in facebook. That's our only access to each other...facebook is a free data access in the Philippines.

We actually want to reach out to the world as international stories about him are so horrific and outrageous! Also, reports are coming in where each story against Pres. Duterte is worth $50k. He doesn't even want to establish his own media to counter-act these stuff, he said it's EXPENSIVE!

That is just messed up. Hope things will change..
