From a journalistic perspective, what I find interesting is that at no point, in no reporting, either the vast swath from the Left or the counter-reactions from the Right have we seen anyone actually try to identify and interview people involved with the Black Israelites.

Here we have adults who are clearly spoiling for a fight and aggressively engaging with teenagers – but they might as well not exist. They are a well-known group which appears at lots of Left activist activities – but they might as well not exist.

The absence of curiosity from the halls of journalism regarding the significant group of instigators gives line to the underlying idea that they are interested in the truth, interested in the people who consume their work knowing what's really going on in the world, and the panoply of other self-justifying garbage they've been throwing around for decades.

Or, as someone much cleverer than myself said, "Journalism is about covering important stories. With a pillow, until they stop moving."
