RE: Why do employees cheat? Too much pressure

in #news8 years ago

Copying/Pasting full texts without adding anything original is frowned upon by the community.

Some tips to share content and add value:

  • Using a few sentences from your source in “quotes.” Use HTML tags or Markdown.
  • Linking to your source.
  • Include your own original thoughts and ideas on what you have shared.

Repeated copy/paste posts could be considered spam. Spam is discouraged by the community, and may result in action from the cheetah bot.

If you are actually the original author, please do reply to let us know!

Thank You!

Have you posted a link on newsrx.com to your steemit.com profile?

This is a new endeavour for us to integrate with steemit. That hasn't come up yet. I'll pass the suggestion up the chain of command.

Mike/NewsRx

You need to. Otherwise the account will be added to @cheetah's blacklist if we can't get content verification. Too many scammers here trying to pass themselves off as the owners of websites & content.

ok, we got approval to add the link to our main page. I'll reply again as soon as the change goes live.

Thank you.

ok, the change is live (bottom left):

I'm worried about NewsRx appearing to dilute @cheatah bot's voting weight, is there not a limit on the number of upvotes it performs per account over a sliding time window?

Mike/NewsRx

I'll check with @cheetah's owner.

So.. Now onto the next issue. Your going to get reported and commented on a lot if you don't source your quotes. A lot of the community takes it seriously. Just providing a link to the newsrx.com article is viewed as using an already plagiarized article as a source. It's been done ad nauseum in the past.

Spam could also be an issue. I'm assuming these are automated postings? Or even if they are just auto generated you need to be active in the community. I'm currently working to stop a lot of automated postings with zero community interaction.

Why don't you stop by steemit.chat or find me on Discord and talk about your posts and site. While not really what most of us envision steemit.com being used for you don't seem to be here to spam & scam as we like to say. I try to take the time to work with accounts to gain visibility and avoid abuse when I can.
