A day in the life : Day 282

Didn’t feel like doing much when I woke up today. No real reason — just one of those slow-brain mornings where the body’s up, but the mind takes its time catching up. I didn’t force it. Let the bed hold me a little longer than usual.

Eventually moved to the desk and stared at the screen. A few browser tabs opened, nothing urgent. I read a couple of short articles on UI improvements in mobile apps — minor stuff, but it gave me a few ideas for one of my pending projects. Jotted them down in the notes app and let them sit there.

Midday came and went. Skipped breakfast again. Ate some leftover roti and sabzi from last night. It wasn’t warm, but it worked.

Later, I opened my code editor and reviewed an old repo I’d almost forgotten about. It surprised me how clunky some of it looked. I must’ve been rushing back then. Spent about an hour refactoring one screen — not because anyone asked for it, just because I wanted to leave it a little cleaner than I found it.

The rest of the evening passed quietly. No calls. No social scrolling. Just a little music in the background and the soft glow of the monitor.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing enough. But days like this remind me — even slow progress, even silence, is still a kind of living. Nothing to prove, just steady hours.
