A day in the life : Day 287
Woke up earlier than usual today, without an alarm. The sky was still grey, but something about the silence felt peaceful. I stretched for a few minutes, nothing fancy — just enough to feel like I wasn’t stuck in yesterday’s posture. Skipped breakfast, which I shouldn’t have, but sometimes coffee feels like a shortcut to starting the day.
Most of my morning was spent reviewing a small bug in one of my app projects. It wasn’t critical, but it had been bothering me for days. Finally found the issue hidden in a conditional statement I had rushed through earlier. Fixing it felt like solving a riddle I had written myself and forgotten the answer to.
Took a walk in the afternoon. No destination, just loops around the block. The breeze was light, and a few kids were flying kites from a terrace nearby. It reminded me of school holidays — how simple the world felt back then.
Back home, I tried to write some documentation for another tool I’m building. Not the fun part of coding, but necessary. I try to keep the tone human and casual — no one likes reading robotic manuals.
Dinner was quiet. Some dal again, with a bit of leftover sabzi. I don’t mind eating the same food twice. It’s one less decision for the day.
Now winding down. No plans for the night except reading a few pages from a book I started weeks ago. The kind of day that didn’t shout, but felt steady.
