A day in the life : Day 288

in #notesyesterday

Started the day groggy, probably because I stayed up too late scrolling through code tutorials I didn’t really need. Made a mental note to cut back on screen time at night — let’s see how long that lasts. Morning routine was quick — just brushed, brewed some instant coffee, and sat down at my desk.

Work was fairly uneventful. Just followed up on a few emails and cleaned up some old commits. I had been putting off merging a feature branch because I wasn’t confident about the UI, but today I just decided to go for it. It wasn’t perfect, but it was clean enough. Sometimes “done” is better than “perfect.”

Took a break around 2 PM and did a bit of stretching. I’ve been trying to be more aware of how long I sit, especially with the occasional back pain creeping in. Also drank a lot more water today, which sounds minor, but felt like a win.

In the evening, I checked out a couple of new open-source libraries. One of them might actually help with a side project I’ve been neglecting. I didn’t touch the code, but bookmarked it and added a note in my Notion — baby steps.

Dinner was basic — just some rice and curd, nothing fancy. Kept thinking about how quiet my place gets at night. It's both calming and oddly loud in its silence. Now I'm just wrapping up the day, typing this out with a tired brain but a calm mind.
