RE: As Strong as a Vegan Gladiator!
That has to be the ultimate 'sport' where you life was on the line. I guess they never expected to live long. It makes me smile when people say life these days is stressful when we don't generally have to worry about whether we will be alive in a year.
Certainly makes me think twice when I'm complaining about a stressful day at my day job.
Having been a vegan previously, and a vegetarian for a long time (I make exceptions these days for eggs and cheese at social events) -- it's reassuring to know that gladiators would rely on a very similar diet.
That said -- I'm not an expert in the type of science being described -- so who knows. Also, it would have been nice if they found evidence of a pint of beer every other night or something like that.
Beer can be vegan :) I see people from the Vegan Runners club at parkrun. I wouldn't technically qualify, but at least some of my meals are vegan.
you can always enjoy brewer's yeast
haha, beer may be super low in antioxidants, with moderate amounts of alcohol and not a high risk/reward nutritional ratio. nonetheless, it's good for celebration
i guess it all comes down to what's your definition of hell and heaven. being grateful for the position you have in life really changes your perspective towards others. thx for comenting
