RE: NYR - Disconnecting before sleeping

Fantastic plan! I hope you can stick to it. I love that you ditched the TV. I haven't had TV for close to 5 years now. When I go to other peoples houses now, they have it on all the time like it's the family fireplace. It feels so chaotic just being there and they don't even notice. I enjoy coming home again where I can think and relax! It really demonstrates to me what a source of "uptightness and frustration" can be cut out of our lives simply by turning off the damb tube! Lol
I so hope the sleep thing goes well for you. I'd offer guidance... but I'd be a hypocrite. I suffer the same thing! Just can't shut 'er down! Lol.
You may want to look into something I read somewhere about 'what clock cycle' you are on. Not sure if I believe in it... but seems to resonate fairly well with 'my' experience. They say not everyone is based on a 24 hr clock. Most are, but some are more 22, 23, 25, 26 hrs ect. Makes going to bed at the same time every night very difficult. Something for your curiosity to indulge! :)
Thanks for the other ideas. I look forward to more of your ideas.

Thank you for the excellent comment and advice! My sleeping abilities isn't terrible, it's just something I do to myself without thinking. I notice when I do go to bed without reading my phone I fall asleep faster but if there is a 5-10 minute gap between getting into bed and falling asleep I get an urge to grab the phone. lol.

I'm lucky I don't suffer from insomnia or anything. I agree when I go to my friends house I can't help notice the backround noise of the television and it still pulls my attention away from conversations I should be engaging in lol.
