RE: SLC S27 Week3 - Let's Play OpenTTD:Ships

in #openttd-w3yesterday

Thank you for joining the third week, even despite last week’s setback. I give very little information about the game because it’s incredibly vast and deep. You could talk about it for a very long time — and most likely, if I’m chosen, we’ll spend another week learning this game. You can see for yourself that you did really well this time — even though there’s still much that’s unknown and unexplored, that’s all ahead of you!))

1) The headquarters can be anywhere — it’s just for aesthetics; the location doesn’t really matter. The buoy is unnecessary at such a short distance, especially on a straight route. I see that at one station you’re only doing unloading, without loading. But the task was to transport passengers between two docks — so that’s fine.1,9/2
2) It doesn’t have to be oil — this is a different biome, so the resources are different. For example, there are no diamonds on other maps. I see you’ve found oil after all, and you’re even doing transit twice. Yes, transporting diamonds here is very efficient. And industries can appear and disappear over time — new ones open, old ones close.4/4
3) In this task, it wasn’t required to lower the land — you just had to build a long route using a buoy along the way. You did that, but also ended up splitting your continent into two islands!)1,8/2
4) Yes, diamonds are very profitable on this map — they should be transported to the bank. But on the first level (biome), the banks are built by the city itself, so the transportation is bank-to-bank. The company’s value isn’t increasing because you probably haven’t bought any new vehicles recently.1.8/2
Total9.5/10

Thank, dude,

I'm really enjoying it. I hope you get approved for your second SLC.
