Today I am here to participate in the challenge of playing OpenTTD game organized by @sergeyk. If you want to join then:

I have loaded my game from the previous lesson which I saved during task 3. Currently in the game I have 197,408 USD.

🚛Task 1🚚

Show the starting year (1), initial funds (2), and the population of the two selected towns (3, 4) at the beginning of this homework, and also show them at the end of your work.

	Starting year is 1950. Available funds are $197408
	Population

The population of both the selected cities is as mohammadfaisaltown has 537 and Islamabad has 770.

Build a bus station in your town (the one with your login) and in the second town (the capital)

I have opened road construction tool. It opened a new menu and then I selected the 6th option of building a bus station.

I have built two bus stations one in my own town and one in the capital Islamabad. I have tried to build the bus stations near buildings thinking that it will help the passengers to get in and off easily near their houses.

	Depot

I have built depot in my town near the bus station and the direction of the depot is towards the road. It will help the vehicle to directly go on the road.

Now in order to build the road between the towns I have selected the shortest way according to my thinking. But in this there is water and I cannot build the road on the water but I have to build a bridge.

Different types of tiles on the terrain requires different price to build the roads. The normal tile is requiring 202 USD but the changed terrain with different surface is requiring 576 USD.

I have successfully build roads and connected both the towns with each other. Then I have built bus stations in both towns. After that I have bought a bus to run on the road to carry the passengers. After that I have built cargo stations and similarly bought a mail truck and started it running on the roads to collect mails from the citizens. The passenger bus is denoted by 1 and mail truck by 2.

Independently choose another type of resource and the corresponding industry for it.

I have chosen oil resource from the oil wells which are available at ratwood town and in my town there is an oil refinery and I will transport oil from ratwood oil wells to my town's oil refinery.

In the oils already 135,000 litres of oil and I can use it in my oil refinery.

I have taken into account to build a road in such as way that I can pass nearby the other buildings because in future if I need to contact with those buildings I would not need to create new roads to connect them.

So after identifying the resource of oil from oil wells and their destination for the transportation I have build road to connect both the points. Then I have built a depot and bought a oil transportation truck. Then on both sides I built truck stations to receive oil from the ratwood oil wells and then giving it in the mohammadfaisaltown to the oil refinery.

🚛Task 3🚚

Describe what you think about your transport company — what is missing?

My transport company is doing good at the moment. I just run 3 vehicles where there is a Bus, a Mail Truck, and a Oil Tanker. You can see my profit for this year is $15,178.

Yes I agree that I need more vehicles in my transport company. I have checked that in my town's bus station there are 112 passenger waiting so it needs more buses to transport them.

Similarly I have seen all other stations and I can see that there is the great need of the different types of vehicles. The oil is available in excess and I have need of more oil tankers to bring it.

To fulfil the needs of my transport company to bring more oil from the wells and to transport it to the oil refinery I have bought 9 more oil tankers and now I have total 10 oil tankers in operation. They are continuously bringing oil from the wells and giving to oil refinery and I am earning profit.

	Each full tank of oil is giving me profit of $1268

In total I have run 16 road vehicles where 10 are the oil tankers and 4 are the buses and similarly 1 is a mail truck and 1 is a coal truck. I want to mention that coal truck was bought mistakenly because I did not have need of the coal truck but instead of clicking on another vehicle I clicked on this. But I do not know how to remove this from the road if I want to remove it.

Currently I think these 16 vehicles are enough for my towns requirements. And the most profit I earned is from the oil tankers. My passenger buses are also enough to fulfil the transportation needs for the passengers and similarly mail truck.

Here you can see that my own fund is now positive and in the start it was negative because of the loan.

	Loan Repay

I have paid all the loan. Now my loan is $0 and after paying the loan my current balance is $20,702 at the moment of paying the loan.

I started game in 1950 and it took me around 8 years to earn and repay all the loan and got some money for me. Now my vehicles and everything is under my possession and they are working and continuously working for me and making profit.

	Value of company

At the end of this task the value of my company is visible in the above picture. My company has grown a lot. My company has now worth of $171890 and it has roads, stations, and vehicles.

🚛Task 4🚚

	$200k+ Earned Successfully

I followed the trick given by the professor to boost the speed and I earned these 200k+ USD. It took me 4 years to earn these 200k+ USD.

I noticed that I could increase the speed of my earnings more if I could have bought more oil tankers because the majority part of my profit comes from them. In this way I could be able to achieve these $200K early in less years than these 4 years.

This is my profit graph and profile of my company. The value of my company is $283436 at the moment.

So in order to reach another 200k USD I have played the game for 12 years. It could be more short if I understand the mechanics of investing more in the oil tankers and to increase my profit.

If you see my profit chart we can observe that my profit remained is almost consistent line. In the start it was increasing slowly but suddenly decreased. Then it started rising again and in the middle it dip below the previous level. But later on it started increasing in the positive direction.

I am happy that I have completed these tasks of the game which I were thinking difficult but after spending a lot of time and learning it for some days whenever I got time I have become to do it. But at the end I am enjoying this game after making such a profit and now I am desiring to keep playing it continuously to keep printing money and increasing the size of my company.

Task 1	The first passenger and mail stations should be built closer to the city center — more precisely, where there are more houses. The more houses there are, the more passengers and mail you’ll get. The depot, however, should be placed outside the city so it doesn’t take up valuable urban space. Since you had to build a bridge, it would be good to mention why the two bridges look different.	3/3
Task 2	Let me repeat that cities live separately from resources (like oil) and factories. Only later does a factory start accepting oil and producing goods, which then need to be delivered to the city — but that’s for the future. It’s great that you didn’t just build roads randomly but considered the existing infrastructure. That’s a big plus — later on, it will be essential.	2.9/3
Task 3	Yes, there really should be a balance in the number of vehicles. Too few means lost profit, while too many causes unnecessary expenses (vehicles stopped in depots don’t consume resources).	2.7/3
Task 4	In the last screenshot, I see that you repaid your loan and even earned 200K. However, in the previous task, you wrote that the loan was repaid, but the screenshots don’t show that.	1/1

Thank you for participating — the game is very interesting and deep. At first, it might seem complicated, but I’m gradually teaching the minimum necessary actions, since even I probably don’t know all its possibilities. Some features I didn’t use for a long time — I only recently started exploring them.
