@eturnerx, Reflecting as you'll enjoyed this journey and in my opinion dark time is scary time for sure but great to read that at this time you'll tested your senses and continued your journey.

These kind of journeys will become memorable times and these days becomes table discussions in near future. The more tough the journey is, more strong the bond becomes.

I don't get the fear in the dark in the bush. I used to do similar activities when I was younger. For me, I found surrending to the situation was a better way to handle the fear rather than fighting to overcome. We do such activities as a way of exposing ourselves to a little controlled hardship so that we're more resilient if really bad things do happen. The psychological aspects of surviving a disaster often outweigh the physical ones.
