RE: Thoughts on Palcoin, Decentralization, and the Non-Aggression Principle

Dear @isaria

Interesting choice of topic. However I'm wonderinf if you're not to positive about some issues:

What happens in a decentralized society when there is a bad actor?
The answer is that the community comes together to deal with it.

That's indeed an excellent question. Unfortunatelly community will not come together to deal with it. I know we would love to believe in it, but that simply won't happen.

Decentralization is allowing to create local "warlords" and smaller groups of power, who would mostly abuse that power for their own benefits. Decentralization won't change human mindset.

Obviously in small communities with centralized authorities (PALnet is such a place) we don't have to really worry much about such abuses. However it is important to realize, that neither Steemit or Palnet is even remotely decentralized and I don't think it ever will be. But then, it's just my own impression.

And I wouldn't see it as a complaining. After all decentralization is currently nothing but fancy and popular term. But full decentralization is as bad (or even worse) than centralization. It's important to find a balance and PALnet is doing quite fine so far.

Again, good read.

Yours
