RE: Missing And Murdered Indigenous Woman Awareness Project - The Start of My New Initiative - More to Come! #MMIWG

in #parley-mmiwg7 years ago

I recently watched a movie on Netflix called Wind River. At the end of the movie there was mention of the fact that there was no national data base on missing or murdered Native women. I thought how could that be? I then thought what is happening on the reservations and why? It is a touchy subject because even asking the question can illicit a strong negative response. The first step in solving any problem is to acknowledge there is a problem. Denial is not just a river in Egypt. With that being said we have a problem. I applaud all the efforts to begin a data base. I applaud your efforts to bring this issue to the forefront, and I hope that you will make it a personal mission to continue to bring this forward. I personally have a bias to believe that all such activity, regardless of where it is found and in what community it is found, is at its heart Satanic and always tied to driving people from the land. No matter where you are, look for the wolf in sheep's clothing!
