RE: Alex Jones' (and Other Alt-Media Persons') Access to Commerce

in #partiko7 years ago

I think Alex Jones over states his case and fails to understand the biases behind his own positions.

So, I chose not to listen to InfoWars.

It really ticks me off that Google and the other big players are choosing for me. I hope his censuring brings people out of big social media and into niche markets.

Sort:

He definitely overstates his case. However, his approach, while wild and overblown in and of itself, is actually completely appropriate from a reciprocity point of view, vis a vis the MSM. The MSM always buries the lead. Alex Jones can be relied upon to doggedly dig it back up.

I think that either Trump will engage in some trust busting, or people who are not leftists will be forced out of those platforms. I think it's simply inevitable that one of those two things will happen. I also think that a certain amount of trust-busting will happen regardless, because google and apple are attempting to prevent alternative platforms from gaining traction by banning their apps (which is what they did to Gab).
