There's definitely more to this story and there may have been a wider ring that has not yet been exposed.
I may do a follow up on this because it ads a new dimension to the Sandusky case.

I came across several interesting articles about the DA who didn't lay charges against Sandusky in 1999, Ray Gricar.

In 2005, Gricar disappeared on his drive home. A source who contacted the Mirror, a local newspaper, claims that Gricar was murdered by a former member of the Hell's Angels / FBI informant. The source described Gricar's brutal death and the 'shaft' where his body was dumped but refused to provide information on the exact location of the body.

On the morning of April 15, 2005, Gricar left his office in the Centre County courthouse and called his girlfriend, Patricia Fornicola, to tell her he was going for a drive that would take him along Route 192, according to Deadspin. When Gricar didn’t come home, his girlfriend reported him missing. His car was found the next day in Lewisburg, Pa., with his mobile phone inside. His laptop was discovered in the Susquehanna River, but the hard drive was missing. Two months later, the hard drive was found on the banks of the river, but it was too badly damaged to recover any information.

Deadspin reported that investigators revealed that somebody used Gricar’s home computer before his disappearance to conduct an Internet search with the following phrases: “how to wreck a hard drive,” “how to fry a hard drive” and “water damage to a notebook computer.”

Gricar served as Centre County district attorney for 20 years, from 1985 to 2005. Six years after his disappearance and with no evidence as to his whereabouts, he was declared legally dead in 2011.

Obviously, it makes you wonder if there's any connection to the Sandusky case, and what was on Gricar's hard drive.

Wooooooow. Definitely follow up on that if you get the chance. That's quite the twist, and honestly a Hell's Angel getting revenge doesn't provide motive for the wrecking of the laptop. Seems very specific.

Yeah...I hadn't heard anything about Gricar and the laptop until yesterday. Very interesting twist...just makes you wonder if he helped to cover for Sandusky and a wider ring. Maybe some of the contents on the laptop were blackmail material...
all speculation of course, so who knows, right? It maybe something else entirely.
