Okay, so... Pencils? Seriously? ✏️
Alright folks, so Steemit gave me a theme today and, honestly, I kinda laughed. Pencils? Like, the things you used in third grade? I was thinking, "Come on, give me crypto drama, alien conspiracies, SOMETHING!" 😂 But then I started thinkin'... and you know what? Pencils are actually kinda awesome.
Think about it. They're like, the OG writing tool. Before keyboards and touchscreens, there were pencils. My grandpa used to say, "The faintest ink is better than the sharpest memory," and I guess he used a pencil to write it down! 😉
I remember back in school, I had this one pencil. It was a Ticonderoga #2 (natch!), and it had this perfect point. I guarded that thing like it was Fort Knox! 🏰 It just felt right in my hand. All my doodles, my notes, my terrible poetry... all came from that pencil.
And then there's the satisfying feeling of sharpening one, right? 😌 The little wood shavings, the fresh smell... it's almost therapeutic. Way better than hitting "delete" on a keyboard.
I know, I know, I'm probably getting way too sentimental about a pencil. But hey, sometimes it's the little things, right? Plus, they don't need batteries! 🔋❌ Bonus!
I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't underestimate the power of the humble pencil. It's a classic for a reason. So next time you see one, take a minute to appreciate it. Maybe even doodle something. You might surprise yourself. 👍
What about you guys? Any pencil memories? Or am I just totally losing it? Let me know in the comments! 👇
Peace out! ✌️
