RE: Buds breaking!

YES!

Spring has sprung in the snow of Bulgaria! I've been observing buds as well. God, I pray for a short winter. We've had plenty of rain, which is awesome, and I'm anxious for April's storms to come fill my swales! Good luck flooding my chickens this time, mother nature!

What cuttings are those? Figs?

Wow that's a lot of information in one comment! Last year your hens were flooded??

Those are honeyberry cuttings, this plant is not known around here and we're trying to do an edible hedge with it.

Last fall we got a flooding rain 10cm in 3 days and a final day with about 12cm in a day. It flooded the bedding out of the chicken runs.

I've not heard of honeyberry, but an edible hedge sounds terrific! :)
