Excellent and also spot on ;) Time alone cannot dilute bad memories, it's what one does with that time, and like you said, almost a retraining of the mind with new data coming in all the time. I did exactly what that young lady did in The Journey Ahead. My brother committed suicide and I kept myself frantically busy, could not understand why he did that and asking myself could I have stopped it. In fact made myself ill in my running away. My thyroid went haywire, had surgery but the overnight drop from overactive to zero thyroid function caused a clinical depression. Don't want to bore you with the details, but the point I'm making is don't run away from bad memories, rather face it, we have to get on with the job of living, things can never be the same as before but we must allow new experiences and new joy into our lives :) Thank you for pointing me to that article!

Well said! I am glad you were able to turn something so tragic into a positive energy and emotion. Most people live their whole lives unable to attempt, let alone master this feat.
