RE: Empty Your Mind...to Become More Mindfull (Whatever the Hell that Means...!?!?!?)

in #philosophy5 years ago (edited)

Apparently mindfulness is the latest thing and if it works, I'm all for it!

"Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens.
Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment."

I wasn't aware that Mindfulness had recently become more popular. I've practiced it for many years (off-and-on) since having been exposed to the teaching about fifty years ago.

Thank you, also for being mindful enough to provide an appropriate link, which may prove helpful to readers :>)

Have a happy day.

You're welcome!

Apparently some of the better physicians are recommending patients to use mindfulness as an alternative treatment instead of taking medications to dealing with stresss and anxiety.☯️🧘‍♀️☮
