Philosophy? More Like Phile-LOSS-ophy, am I right? 😂

Hey Steemit folks! It's your boy, pollos, back again. So, I was thinkin' the other day... well, actually I was watchin' TV and an ad for some college came on, and it got me thinkin' about philosophy. I mean, what is philosophy anyway? 🤔

Seriously, I always picture some dude with a long beard sittin' around thinkin' about, like, the meaning of life and stuff. Which, hey, no judgment! If that's your thing, cool. But honestly, it always seemed kinda...out there to me. Like, way above my pay grade. I'm more of a "does my car start in the morning" kinda thinker, ya know? 🚗💨

I remember back in high school, they offered a philosophy class. I almost took it, thinking maybe it would be an easy A. Boy, am I glad I didn't! I heard from friends that it was all about readin' these super dense books and talkin' about abstract concepts. Sounds like a headache waiting to happen! 🤕

But here's the thing, right? I was talking to my neighbor, Bob (great guy, loves his grillin'), and he was sayin' how philosophy is actually everywhere. Like, in the choices we make every day. What kind of food we eat, what we believe in, who we vote for... all that stuff.

And you know what? He kinda had a point. I mean, I guess you could say that choosing between the gas station coffee that's cheap and the fancy latte from Starbucks is a mini-philosophical debate. Do I value saving money more than having a better coffee experience? ☕💰 Deep, man. Real deep.

So, maybe philosophy isn't just for beardy dudes in ivory towers. Maybe it's for regular folks like me and you, just tryin' to figure things out. Maybe it's about askin' "why" and not just acceptin' things at face value. 🤷‍♂️

I still don't think I'm gonna go readin' Plato anytime soon, but I might start payin' a little more attention to the reasons why I do the things I do. Maybe even have a little philosophical debate with myself in the shower tomorrow morning! 😂
