The small roadside tea stalls often have televisions installed for entertainment. These TVs are used to attract local people, encouraging them to gather at the stalls. That’s why these televisions are kept running.
For business purposes, people often use these methods, and the shopkeepers generally make such decisions to improve their surroundings and boost business.
At night, these stalls become gathering spots where people come, chat, and spend time together. These shops don’t usually offer much, as they are mainly set up for socializing.
