A large plate

There was a large plate, some smaller plates, a few saucers, and a spoon placed on the table. Perhaps some fried items were served in them earlier. We had gone to a hotel for breakfast, and when we arrived and sat at a table, these items were already there—likely left behind to be cleaned.

Soon after we sat down, they sent someone over who promptly cleared the table. It seemed the previous meal had just ended, so they had temporarily placed the used items there. Later, they cleaned everything up very nicely. After the table was cleaned, we sat and enjoyed tea and breakfast comfortably. The staff cleaned up everything quickly and efficiently.
