Landmarks and My Stories - (Hidden) Beauty of Europe

Some visually popular places in Tuscany and then some that aren't so popular but mean something to me, that I'm sharing if you stay along :)

That part of Italy is loved by the travel photographers, as it is appealing in all four seasons.

Probably the first place is the most popular and I remember having a conversation with a local photographer in his photo shop in San Gimignano, I think, who was actually famous, who shared with me he felt happy and blessed to have captured this amazing place in all weather conditions, including covered in snow, given that it doesn't snow often here, if at all, "once in a decade" was his words, if I remember correctly...

I've been here several times.

Sunrises, sunsets, afternoons, evenings, you name it :)

Now this second place isn't far away from the first, just a couple of hundred meters from the observation points.

Here, scenes from the Gladiator movie has been shot. I took that photo through closed iron-casted gates, the place is private and closed.

This is a view from the door of our agriturismo, there was a huge thunderstorm, the lights in the sky you see are actually lightnings!

I wasn't fully under the rain, as I was trying to protect myself and the camera from the heavy rain ;)

Gosh, I miss Tuscany...

I didn't know Gladiator was filmed in Tuscany. 🤔
Years ago, when I was younger, I happened to spend a whole month in Tuscany and decided then that the place was vastly overrated, perhaps because of the extremely high cost of living and the foreigners lost in admiration, mostly wealthy Asians and American women with a higher standard of living. 😃
I don't know if I'll ever go back there. But I enjoy exploring these fascinating landscapes, literally getting lost in them, in every little pretty corner, so clean and tidy in a typically Tuscan way in its beauty. Especially in black and white 🖤📷🤍

Yes, indeed, some scenes from it, that's the home of the gladiator :)

I'd do a completely diffrent tour, probably, wine and cheese tasting. Ice-cream tasting probably as well :)

Oh, yes, the ice cream! I was to this great gelateria with the best ice cream in Florence, with queues winding in front of it. Unfortunately, I don't eat that much ice cream or cheese anymore. And I don't drink wine at all. 😅 Tuscany can't attract me with its high prices either, haha.
But I admit that it is though a photogenic photography spot for those who love orderliness...😊

The breathtaking landscapes are more than enough for me, to be honest! :)

Thank you! :)
