SPRINGTIME ADVENTURES , episode 28 - In between two showers of rain
Sometimes when it's raining, I drive to the coast covered with meadows and just sit there in my car, put some music on, and watch the sea ...
... and then ...
... when the rain stops for a while ...
... or just slows down enough and decreases her showering power to let you do a couple of shots without getting completely soaked ...
... I go out and wander around, remaining at the short distance from the car ...
... while the music from the car is still playing ...
... usually some anachronistic stuff ...
... hippy music, you may say :D ...
... Neil Young from the early seventies ...something warm and whimsical from Donovan ... the white album of The Beatles ... stuff like that ...
... and with that soundtrack on ...
... I go in search of interesting details in this scenery covered with droplets and shiny little things ...
... so this is a post about usual insects and spiders and flowers and such ...
... but also ...
... and even more ...
... about the many shapes of water ...
... about different droplets ...
... on different surfaces ...
... and poetic moments of meditative calm ... like this small bee under the leaves ... with a few droplets on her ...
... or this detail from a much bigger cluster of flowers ...
... this bug is completely enveloped in water in a pretty peculiar way ... reminds me of magic shields my characters were casting in TES Morowind and Oblivion :D this insect is wearing the water like a video game representation of a magic spell effect ...
... on the shiny surface of this very small beetle ...
... the minuscule droplets are changing color ...
... depending on the angle from which you look at them ...
... and this little wonder is beautiful from all the angles ...
... there were some interesting protuberances on the leaves of the nearby trees ...
... probably the work of some of the many small wasp species who do those things ... but I m not sure ...
... and from some perspective ... and with certain light ...
... this was transformed into a landscape with a tree ...
... the small pines was very elegantly decorated ...
... they looked better than a Christmas tree ...
... with shiny droplets instead of lamps
... the simple leaves of grass were covered with pearls ...
... and ich plant had her own set of crystal decorations ...
... and some insects were decorative to ...
... like this elegant small moth with long antennae ...
... but in this droplets wonderland ...
... even the simple, gray colored, flies looked beautiful to me ...
... and like this is not enough ...
... there were flowers ...
... gorgeous as always ...
... droplets and flowers make some great combinations ...
... some small things here were hard to define ...
... this looked like some living thing ... but when I touched it ... turned out to be just a droplet filled with some dirt ...
... this very small spider found shelter in the ear of grass ...
... and so did a minuscule black insect too ...
... some bugs shaped like little shields were mating on this grass ...
... and some large leaves were decorated with aphids and droplets ...
... and now ...
... with some more flowers ...
... and droplets ...
... and another bug on the wet grass ...
... and a beautiful snail enjoying the favorable conditions ...
... and some lovely minuscule flowers on some thorny bush ...
... its time ...
... to bring ...
... this long, rainy scroll ...
... to an end ...
... that's all for today ...
... hope you enjoyed this rainy day atmosphere ...
... have a good day ...
... or night ...
... wherever on the planet you are ...
( As always on these posts on Steemit, all the photographs are my work. )
... AND HERE COMES THE BONUS :D
... this lovely little bug ...
... that I forgot to put in the post at proper time ...
... so is here as a bonus :D ... and now ...
... that's really all ...
... yep ...
.. mhm ... The End
This was just divine. So many beautiful and skillfully take photos. You really told a story and transported the reader to where you were. Just and idea but you might consider attaching a youtube vid of the very music you use.

Wow....what a skill...special mention to be done for the patience for capturing these shot with utmost precision. How many days you will take normally to capture these butterflies, bugs, the droplets and all with high precision and at the exact moment it is required.
Great snaps, but I don't know whether it is a special type of color combination but overall many snaps looks gloomy, or the background doesnt seems to have a telling effect on the snap. Just my thought. But honestly I really appreciate your skill and this photos.
Thanks :) you have a good eye for these things. True, there is gloominess to mask a low quality and digital noise of many shots. This was made with an old compact camera Panasonic DMC fz7, in that light condition I had to use ISO 200 and with that camera that is a lot of noise, and without a real macro lens, the backgrounds often have too much depth of field ... it's a low-cost production value :) like a low budget indie movie or something
a beautiful story of sweet details of nature
:)
I love how you have captured all the various insects with the rain droplets. This is something different and it makes for an interesting way of photographing plants. It gives different textures and a freshness.
Thanks for the comment :) glad you like this rainy atmosphere and took the time to look this little photostory
Thanks for posting something that is totally different.
What an amazing photo shoot, you are really good at it as these are of perfect quality. I love that everything is wet, except maybe the little snail. It is funny though and I know the feeling, rain can give a photographer many subjects to photograph. Well done!
Thank you. :) True, the rain transforms many surfaces and lives all those photogenic droplets all around. If once I get my hands on a waterproof camera will be cool to shoot all those falling droplets and bouncing water and little rivers on the asphalt or little muddy pathways through the meadows and woods.
It's kind of sad that I am reading your post while it is raining right here, the first strong rain of the year and I am cursing outloud because I have holes in my roof (which I can't afford to repair) and there are problems in the whole city with the sewage system, so most houses get flooded by "black waters" every time it rains.
I used to love rain so much, and your post reminded me of how beautiful rain and the contmplation of what it does can be.
That place you took those pictures in must be the most amazing area. What a variety of living things, both flora and fauna.
Every picture is better than the previous one. It's really impressive and hard to pick a favorite. Even the stinky chinches look gorgeous.
Great job, really. Thanks for showing this poetic and relaxing, as you called it, side of nature.
Sorry to hear that you have a problem with the house and rain, hope that things in your area will be better. And I understand that rain is great if you have a solid shelter at hand, if not, becomes a problem and is difficult to enjoy the atmosphere while being soaked or flooded. Here is a lot of flora and fauna in spring and summer, but then in winter, there is not much there to photograph.
I imagine that in Venezuela there is even more biodiversity and insects and flowers all year. From what I saw in some documentaries.
