I'm making a point to take the time to appreciate the little things and time is still slipping away but at least I'm not missing the little things but now missing the big things...guess I need balance...but I like the little things the best.
Old school photography. I remember my photography teacher in High School, Mr. Zuckard (I took photography for 2 years as an elective). We had a dark room and everything. I got descent grades, yet it just was not something I ever pursued.
I do remember lighting techniques for something having to do with Rembrandt. I could look it up on Google to jog my memory, but I have more curation to do, and you know Sarge... He tends to run rabbits!
Great photos from a great guy! Thanks for sharing your skills with me. Appreciate it.
There is something very, very poetic about dead flowers. They have a kind of architecture that is missing from the living thing.
Now I have this tune in my head:
Take me down little Susie, take me down
I know you think you're the queen of the underground
And you can send me dead flowers every morning
Send me dead flowers by the mail
Send me dead flowers to my wedding
And I won't forget to put roses on your grave
I really the photo :)

Life is all about balance, but I agree, the little things are best. They are usually the things that are taken for granted as well.
I live the way you blurred the background. Really neat effect.
Thanks Dan. That's all the lens selection and aperture.

I think that dead flowers are more unique.
Poppies are a case in point! I find them far cooler without petals.
