I don't remember which filter I was using .... crashed it over Maui volcanic rocks, having another one now :) While quality, granularity in particular, is killing here, I like softness, palette, and patterns of the glares. Thank you, Diane!!

Oh, I misunderstood then. I thought you didn't use a filter, because you said:

All natural camera blurs and glares.

If you used a filter, it was not exactly natural. LOL! Nothing wrong with that of course, just like there is nothing wrong with post processing, which used to be done in the darkroom. :-)

haha! sorry for being not precise, I am not a pro, just prock-tographer :) I did use good quality polarized lens filter, which crashed, regular one, not any color or other special filters. Did not alter the shot with software :) Like in music it might be a grand natural sound you can't ever make, while studio can do the magic and/or highlight the best values. Not religious to either extreme, but loving where art meets the craft and bending the genres and stereotypes .... well duhh, is must be a million and one shots where shooter like me points directly to the sun and see what happens LOL

It gives from very cool effects sometimes, but you have to be careful not to destroy your camera lens or your eyes if the sun is too high in the sky. LOL!
