I know what you mean about the receiving... I still have trouble accepting compliments. And help, for that matter. It's easy to help someone out, but accepting help always feels like I'm inconveniencing someone.

Exactly! I am not used to receiving compliments at all and my first reaction is aaaa hides quickly too much spotlight! I mean it's lovely someone thinks that way about you, but at the same time others then turn their heads your way and it feels like in that moment I am being judged or receiving too much attention.
Same, same about help.
