RE: SPRINGTIME ADVENTURES , episode 28 - In between two showers of rain
It's kind of sad that I am reading your post while it is raining right here, the first strong rain of the year and I am cursing outloud because I have holes in my roof (which I can't afford to repair) and there are problems in the whole city with the sewage system, so most houses get flooded by "black waters" every time it rains.
I used to love rain so much, and your post reminded me of how beautiful rain and the contmplation of what it does can be.
That place you took those pictures in must be the most amazing area. What a variety of living things, both flora and fauna.
Every picture is better than the previous one. It's really impressive and hard to pick a favorite. Even the stinky chinches look gorgeous.
Great job, really. Thanks for showing this poetic and relaxing, as you called it, side of nature.
poetic moments of meditative calm ... like this small bee under the leaves ... with a few droplets on her ...
Sorry to hear that you have a problem with the house and rain, hope that things in your area will be better. And I understand that rain is great if you have a solid shelter at hand, if not, becomes a problem and is difficult to enjoy the atmosphere while being soaked or flooded. Here is a lot of flora and fauna in spring and summer, but then in winter, there is not much there to photograph.
I imagine that in Venezuela there is even more biodiversity and insects and flowers all year. From what I saw in some documentaries.
