Sweet pea

Sweet pea is a delicate and charming flowering plant native to the Mediterranean region particularly Sicily Cyprus and southern Italy it belongs to the legume family Fabaceae and is widely admired for its enchanting fragrance and wide range of vibrant colors the plant is an annual climber that can grow between one to two meters in height using its slender tendrils to cling to supports such as trellises fences or garden stakes the leaves are pinnate with two to four pairs of leaflets and a terminal tendril that helps the plant climb.
