In plain sight. There are food items that produce heavily, that are not recognized as food. Sunchokes, seaberries, lambsquarters, and stinging nettle come to mind....
You can have a LOT of good food, hidden in plain sight, that no one else even sees!
Must have been a little birdie, LOL. It is a common discussion in prepping, but they never go far enough. I want enough to feed me for months just laying around.
There is a lot of corp land around the lake. It is public land, and accessible; and a great place to raise a lot of spare food....
The seaberries (Sea Buckthorne) are hearty in the cold, and have 100 times the levels of vitamin c that an orange has. Plan to plant sunflowers for eats and oil; I may put those on an island, because someone might recognize them.
That is one of them. One on herbal preparations, and one on a hidden garden soon too.

oh that's right, I remember the one where you act like you know herbs. What does hidden garden mean? Hidden where?

Oh I get it. That's a pretty smart idea, who told you about it?
I've never heard of Sunchokes and seaberries, maybe you should write a book.

An island? What island? Yeah it would be pretty hard not to recognize a sunflower.
Keystone lake is Large lake, one island is 60 acres by itself (a trail park for motorcycles), LOL! Lots of small ones by themselves....
