Nuclear Thunderstorm

I took this picture in my hometown in the summer of 2014. It was late afternoon when a thunderstorm was developing in the east. In the picture you can see the cumulonimbus cloud rising up through the upper atmosphere creating those mushroom head bands. The setting sun in the west reflecting those deep orange, red and purple colors on the cloud. It almost looks like a nuclear explosion :-)
