My own family doesn't really do it, or I may be mistaken, my grandmother and aunt+uncle might.
Our usual tradition has always been a little dinner at grandma's. On our way home, though, we always pass a graveyard and you can see all the candles glowing, burning, from the car, and it's weirdly magical. One year I remember seeing someone in a Santa Claus costume waving in front of the graveyard.
Oh, and this year we had lunch at grandma's the next day, but at Christmas Eve we went to visit my brother's wife's parents, which was a new, interesting and quite fun evening. I'm glad to have her (bro's wife) in our family and love how everyone gets along great (our parents and her parents, etc)!
Good to hear that you are all getting along. I have a pretty huge family who sticks together so I think there were at least 16 or 17 people at Christmas eve.
In graveyard, they usually sing too for the dead but me, I stay quiet :D
