RE: Eurasian Collared-Doves -- 26 January 2020 (Original Photos)

in #photography6 years ago

I have never seen one of these at my feeder, although the map shows that I am exactly on the line of their range in extreme South Central Wisconsin. Maybe I will see one someday! Great photos and thanks for posting to #featheredfriends! !Tip

Sort:

Eurasian Collared-Doves are not a native species to North America. I do not see them all the time. I typically see them once a year or so.

The birds are more skittish than Mourning Doves. I was surprised that I saw one during the weekend for my bird count.

Steem on,
Mike

They seem to be survivors, don't they? I will keep better watch for them. I probably just assume that all my visitors are Mourning Doves.
