A Symphony of Color and Grace
The word Floribunda comes from Latin, meaning “many-flowering” a perfect name for a rose variety that blooms in generous clusters. Developed by crossing hybrid tea roses with polyantha roses, Floribundas offer the best of both worlds: the classic shape and color range of hybrid teas, with the disease resistance and prolific blooming habits of polyanthas.
Unlike the solitary bloom of a hybrid tea, Floribundas produce multiple flowers per stem, creating vibrant bursts of color. These roses are often lower-growing and bushier, making them ideal for mass plantings or borders where continuous color is desired throughout the season
One of the most beloved traits of Floribunda roses is their long flowering season. From late spring until frost, these roses deliver wave after wave of blossoms, often with minimal maintenance. Available in a stunning range of colors scarlet, apricot, gold, blush pink, and even lavender there is a Floribunda rose to match every garden mood.
Their compact size and bushy habit make them perfect for smaller gardens, patio containers, or even as colorful hedges. Gardeners appreciate not only their beauty but also their resilience. Many Floribunda varieties are bred to be more resistant to pests and diseases, making them easier to grow than more delicate rose types.
