Mundane Art Entry - Theme #Walls
Walls. Incidental Art. Accidental imagery.
Simulacra enhanced by an inbuilt program for Pareidolia. Influenced by French Artist Jacques Villeglé - who meticulously recreated torn & layered billboard posters, this image is from a curved wall in the London Underground system aka the tube. There are many faces in this image and a few animals too. Millions of years of evolution of the human mind within nature make human faces and animals loom large in our recognition patterns. We should take note of that. Nature is more important to us than we would casually admit. Even the cave types who would rather arrange & count pebbles & sticks in order to arrange the world according to changing needs. (Homo geekus)
Heh... note taken!
you know the score @fraenk everything we do with our 2million year old mind harks back to the old days, even Homo googly has been with us since the dawn of time.. which reminds me. The snow has gone, I found the white tack googly eyes.. right where they fell ! Meet Doug ;)
heh... yeah, nice x-posting there :D
P.S.: I see a Googly Whale in the image above.
yeah, I see it.. there are many faces in this piece of abstraction. humans, animals, cartoon figures :)
Yeah... the rioting zombie-teddy is also pretty cool... but the whale remains the dominant character for me in that one
diving eagle, miniature manga elf dead centre, randall boggs at the bottom, King Kong top right and the little white rhino.. is this how we came up with the constellations ? ;)
Love this entry .... it really is a piece of art. Nice find!
thanks @countrygirl. They do have a certain appeal and like street art / graffitti / transient art, they will soon be gone so capturing their fleeting existence has an added attraction. Visual Conservation or something like that.
I find this intriguing! Nice submission!
