A wave of warm nostalgia washes over me as I look at the shore. I dream I'm a child again, waking with the dawn on a long-ago summer vacation. The air is cool but promises heat, and the sand beneath my bare feet is still damp from the retreating tide. The sight of the small, colorful fishing boats resting on the dark sand instantly brings back the specific, earthy smell of the sea mixed with the scent of the nearby pine-like trees.

The beach is full of that easy, unhurried pace of childhood mornings. I remember the distant, gentle sound of people setting up stalls under the blue tarps—a quiet bustle that was the soundtrack to the start of the day. There's a particular happiness in the way the early morning sun glances off the smooth, wet parts of the beach, creating perfect reflections of the boats and the sky. It's the memory of absolute freedom, of having the whole day stretch ahead with nothing more important to do than look for seashells.

The morning ends with the feeling of that special, peaceful solitude, before the beach became crowded. It's the memory of the long, straight coastline, hinting at endless walks and quiet exploration. The simplicity of the scene—the boats, the trees, the sea—is a sweet ache of longing for a time when the world seemed simpler and every morning held the potential for a perfect adventure.
