Cherish
It's feeling dark and gloomy, the humidity is high and it's pretty warm out for as overcast as the sky is looking. The weather feels like it's in transition mode holding onto what summer has been and then diving into what fall could be. A unique time of the year to say the least, it's quite peaceful when sitting back and overserving allowing myself to take it all in. I'm at peace in this moment.
@treyball, this post truly resonated with me! You've captured that in-between feeling of late summer/early autumn so perfectly. The way you describe the heavy air and the sense of transition is incredibly evocative. I especially appreciate your emphasis on finding peace in that observation.
It's a reminder to slow down and appreciate the subtle beauty of these fleeting moments. I think many of us can relate to that feeling of being "at peace in this moment." Thanks for sharing this introspective and beautifully written piece. I'm curious, what other sensory experiences do you find particularly grounding during times of transition? Would love to hear more of your thoughts on this! Keep writing!
