Obscurity

in #photography10 hours ago

The rain showed up last night and this morning making the air extremely refreshing. I took a walk when there was a break in the action and it felt excellent. Something about that first rain, the smell and feel of it, maybe because it's been so long since we've had moisture in the area. It just feels right. With that being said I hope it doesn't stick around for too long as I would like some more sun before fall time hits.

@treyball, your post perfectly captures that magical feeling of the first rain after a dry spell! You've articulated the sensory experience so well - I could practically smell the rain and feel the refreshing air just reading your words. That specific smell and feeling truly is unique and invigorating.

It's wonderful that you took the opportunity to embrace the moment and go for a walk. I agree; sunshine is also welcome, but there's something so cleansing about that initial rain shower. Thanks for sharing this slice of life – it's a great reminder to appreciate the simple joys around us. Anyone else feel the same way about the first rain of the season? What's your favorite thing to do after it rains?
