Visiting the Plant Nursery

in #plants3 days ago

Last couple of days has been all about gardening. I cleared 2 of my lawns and planned to get some new plants and plant them. It has started raining and my gardener is suggesting that I should plant it now if I need to because in the next couple of months the roots will get firm with the rains. My worry was that it is very windy in my region, so with the rain and winds the new plants should not get destroyed, but the gardener mentioned it wont, though I still have my doubts but I am going ahead with his suggestions. Today morning I visited the nursery to get some new ornamental plants for my small garden next to my entrance.

This plant nursery was suggested to me by a friend, which is around 10 kms away from home. When I reached there I was impressed by the variety of plants they had and also how systematically they had arranged everything. The previous nursery who I was dealing with cheated me in some ways in past. He sold me plants which does not grow very well in the soil that I have and some of the plants he planted haphazardly which after growing it is coming up very shabby. I do not want to remove them. I did not have much knowledge then when I started but with experience I am learning. With all of that I did not want to go back to him again.

There was a good variety of plants here, but what I was looking for is small plants in the front garden which would not grow more then 3 to 4 feet because then I have a window and that should not get blocked.

These little ones are also very pretty, I picked up 10 of them

These yellow flowers grow fast and they also spread, so it was one more of my choice

There was a lot of variety and I was confused on which one to pick up. I all I got 6 different varieties and more in number so that they can spread out and look nice in the garden, rather then having single ones.

There are some big plants also, I was tempted to get them but then with the space constraint I could not.

I have brought the plants home, but the planting part I will do it tomorrow only.
