Are you a Walt Disney fan? Do you like the jungle book as much as I do? The best part of Walt Disney movies is that they make their story so convincing that the audience automatically can relate to all the characters.
There are many like Walt Disney that taught us the beauty of storytelling and how to leave a lasting impression on your audience.

Audio is a great way to reach out to people and speak about things you truly believe in. Podcasting acts as a source for you to let your audience know what's behind your microphone.

But How many times did it happen that you have an idea in your mind but it gets so hard to frame a format out of it? Don't worry, all podcasters have been through this stage at some point in their lives.

Steps to keep in mind

Everyone desires to make a podcast that people love, and talk about. But sometimes it could be harder than it sounds. Every story has these 5 basic elements :

  1. Introduction
  2. Rising action/building tension
  3. A climax
  4. Falling action
  5. Resolution.

Always try to divide your podcast script into above mentioned 5 sections. Try to give an incentive to your listeners to stay through your podcast till the end. Tell them what's coming up instead of giving away all the details at the very beginning.

Know your Audience

It is very important to realize that your audience expects unflinching honesty from your side. You need to ask yourself that why the topic you are talking about is important to you because it is then only you would be able to make your audience believe in that.

Just focus on deciding what topic you wish to speak about, don't worry about the flaws. Flaws are what make your stories seem real and engaging.

Have Fun!

The more you have fun while podcasting and telling a story, the more your audience is going to enjoy it. Nobody likes a monotonous narration and so, always be considerate and think what elements your audience will enjoy the most.

Don't be scared to share any personal stories. It might make you feel a bit exposed, but it is only after this, that you'll able to truly resonate and connect to your people.

“If ever suffering from the block while making an episode, always try to remember, what was that final push that led you to create that podcast, and you'll be good to go!”
