The Empty Seas

in #poetry2 days ago

All these bright lights make me blind.
Like the one being stopped between the crowd of millions.
Making me ponder, everybody passes like wind.
Stunned to eternity, scrounging for perceptions.

Broken or molded, nobody knows.
I just gawk, at all those daily clowns.
Observing, walking and often running.
Making me ponder, what it's all about?

Everything left unexplained, a mystery still.
Nobody got the answers, no one has the keys.
What's all the hurry about?
Why do those tears come out?

Broken or molded, nobody knows.
In those fancy suits, all wearing the masks.
Masks of smiles, pretending to be happy.
Masks that prove they're not scrappy.

Stop for a second, let the world smile.
Live for a minute, travel a mile.
Discontinue the hassle, make it all smooth.
Let it go, with the flow.

All these bright lights make me blind.
The people, the places are not my kind.
The fights they do, the races they run.
Over and over, they make me stunned.

Smoothen up a bit, smile a bit more.
Slow down a bit, observe a little more.
Share your dreads, witness the happiness.
Turn the tunes up, spread some joy.
