The bottomless well

original poetry

A hush came through that
Empty prism filled
With clear rain.

.
I could not decipher
Its tongue of wind.
.
In monochromatic silent thought
The impression of a distant catastrophe:
Somewhere the village succumbed to lava,
Somewhere, throes of crisis rang.

.
I could not hear
Its scream of flames.

Drawing up the bucket
With a ghost rope,

.
Flecks of luminescence
That blister my hands
Through toilsome hours.

.
Pulling, peeling the ectoplasmic cord—
I must drink deep from the spirit well.
Someday I will find the sweet libation.
Then, I will rest my weary hands.

.
Through that cold delirium
So parched by lunar ice,
An ebullient breeze flew.

Wow i can see beautiful chaos in this poem, the way the mood looks tensed and yet gentle and serene is such a lovely thing.

I must drink deep from the spirit well.
Someday I will find the sweet libation.
Then, I will rest my weary hands

This stanza is so awesome.your use of words are splendid.

Beautiful poem @D-pend

The drums played Swan Song and the Avalanche Sonata. The silence of the flooscent cables dominated the ghosts in the spirit of your hand rope. The poet's poet shines in the darkness of the mont Everest - exellent @d-pend tip! 0.1

Thank you @dobartim!

Quality.

My favorite parts:

"Empty prism
filled With clear rain"

and

"I could not decipher
Its tongue of wind"
