Deeper // A Poem

it's weird to think i ended up here
when i lapped you long ago
there's nothing to fear
when death is so close.
and we really never know
what will happen to us
or when we'll go
& that's the question.
honey, i was thinking
it seems more often than not,
we're like anchors sinking
deeper & deeper & deeper.
