The Cost of Eternity
The Cost of Eternity
Beneath the veil of starless night, where whispers wend and willows weep,
The Sovereign of Eternity, in silence vast, His vigil keeps.
He breathes through mortal frames and faces, through eyes that gleam with fleeting grace,
To taste the tears of time-bound spaces, and fleeting joys of Earth's embrace.
"O, to be as gods!" cries Man, with upturned gaze and yearning heart,
To break the chains of Fate's cruel plan, from dust to divine to never part.
Yet in the quest for endless morrow, in the pursuit of deathless breath,
Lies the shadowed truth we must borrow - life's counterpart is ever death.
For every cry of newborn's breath, a final sigh must somewhere fall,
And every dance of life with death, plays out beneath the cosmic pall.
The balance of this grand design, where beginnings blend with bitter ends,
Is the cost of dreams divine - the cycle none can ever mend.
So let us dance with shadows fleeting, and hold the moments close and dear,
For in the heart of life's quick beating, lies the beauty that we fear.
The cost of eternity's endless flight, is the death that makes our living bright.
“You can’t bring new life into the world without the balance of death. To achieve eternal life you must give up the ability to give birth. All things in balance.”
