হারিয়ে যায়,
না বলা শত অভিযোগ
হৃদয়ে জমায়।
অতিরিক্ত বিষন্নতায় অন্তর আত্মা
ক্লান্ত হয়ে নুয়ে পড়ে,
দুঃখ কষ্টরাও অবসন্ন মনে
অবিরত ঝরে।
না বলা জীবন্ত ব্যথা
সুর হয়ে বাজে হৃদয় মাঝে;
যেন জীবনের পথ প্রতি ক্ষণে এভাবেই
ক্ষতবিক্ষত হয়ে যায় থেমে!

রাতের বুকে আঁকে নিরবতা
চাঁদ এক বিষণ্ণ যাযাবর
আকাশের বুকে কাঁদে নিঃসঙ্গতায়।
রাত-এক হিংস্র থাবা
তার থাবার নিচে পিষ্ট স্বপ্নেরা
তুমি আসো আগুন রূপে
ঠোঁটে তোমার অগ্নি তৃষ্ণা।
তবু শেষ সময়ে
যখন তুমি প্রশ্ন করো
কি চাও তোমার জীবনে
আমি বলি দাও এক শুদ্ধ আয়না।
