You Were There (an original poem)
You were always there for me
You lent me your ears and your shoulder
Constantly, even as the night grew colder
You didn't judge, just patiently listened
As I talked about the person I'm missin'
I seem pathetic, but you didn't care
Your presence uplifted me from despair
When I got my heart broken, you were there
You carried the broken pieces I couldn't bear
Though silent, your actions spoke every word I longed to hear
Because you were here with me, I know no fear
Now that I feel light and truly happy
I see you beside me with your smile resonating glee
You're not only the person who used to be there
From now on, we'd be together anytime, anywhere

Isn't it amazing to have someone who is always beside you... He/She may not be physically there, but you know that you're not alone because there is someone who cares.... someone who will accept no matter how stupid you become or how crazy you decide to live your life.
No man is an island... we can't survive alone. :) Just look around, you'll find out that there will always be someone who cares... someone who loves you... and someone who will stick with you through the years.
Let's all become that "someone" to others, especially those who are dear to us. Let's not make them feel alone. Let's make them feel that they are loved... that they are cared for. <3 Let's all be that someone! (^_^)
