Take It Outside, the Heat is Burning - Stream of Consciousness

the sweetest things
have been said
to mistaken people
an overwhelming warmth
yet ineffective
unaffectionate

the doctors grimace
quite dark
in the light of candles
an evil emerged
beaten back
by the gods of yore
trapped for eternity

a cold air began
to signal the changing days
the solstice came
and heat burned
through the home

so they threw it outside
where they thought
it would do no damage
but we didn't know what happened
it is overloading
and to be lost forever.
